1. Evidence is attached to a precise claim
A domain check proves control of a domain at a point in time. It does not prove legal identity, solvency, security maturity, or every statement made by the company.
Each claim has a private source value and a deterministic public projection. Only the projection approved for publication is exposed.
2. Sources are classified, not blended
Company declarations, reviewed documents, authorized connectors, Ombudex measurements, and authenticated clients use distinct labels.
A higher evidence level does not erase scope or limitations. The generic source, verification date, expiry, and methodology version remain visible.
3. Decisions create immutable history
Approval, rejection, requests for more information, expiry, and withdrawal are recorded with a reason and actor.
Published history is limited to information needed for transparency and never exposes the private evidence itself.
4. Measurement has a declared perimeter
Availability begins with one probe region. Period, frequency, target, expected status, incident rules, exclusions, and retention are documented.
A planned maintenance may affect statistics unless it was declared before it began and the published method explains the treatment.
5. Expiry stays visible
A verification can expire when its validity period ends or periodic rechecking fails. Ombudex displays the expired status or the relevant historical event instead of silently removing it.
6. Methodology is versioned
A methodology change receives a new version and effective date. Existing decisions retain the version under which they were made.
A future aggregate score will require a separate public, versioned, explainable methodology. No arbitrary global score is part of this MVP.
